MCA Orders Strike-Off of Company for Failing to File Declaration of Commencement of Business Under Section 10A
The MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) has ordered the "strike-off of a company for failing to file the declaration of commencement of business" under Section 10A of the Companies Act. The Registrar of Companies (RoC) initiated the strike-off proceedings against companies that did not comply with the mandatory requirement to file Form INC-20A within 180 days of incorporation, confirming the commencement of business and receipt of subscription money. This action by the MCA aims to clean up the register of defunct companies and enhance corporate compliance and transparency, ensuring only active entities remain registered.
