New Delhi, June 19 : The Centre for Regulation of Disputes in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Facilitation Council (MSME-RADIC) has introduced new regulations under the MSME Development Act, 2006 to streamline arbitration procedures. \r
The MSME Arbitration Rules, 2024 emphasize a fast-track process aiming to deliver arbitration awards within 6 months through written submissions, with oral hearings optional. This initiative is hailed as crucial by Vinod Sharma, President of the MSME Manufacturers' Association, citing its potential to swiftly resolve payment disputes and alleviate cash flow concerns. \r
However, concerns linger among experts over reduced court oversight, despite the Rules' aim to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness in MSME dispute resolution starting June 1, 2024.
