NPCI profit jumps 42% to Rs 1,552 Cr in FY25
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), the umbrella organization for all retail payment systems in the country, has reported a remarkable financial performance for the fiscal year 2025. The corporation's profit has jumped by 42% to reach Rs 1,552 crore. This impressive growth in profitability is a direct result of the massive increase in the volume of digital transactions being processed through its various platforms, most notably the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). The continued and rapid adoption of digital payments by Indian consumers and businesses has led to a surge in NPCI's revenue. This strong financial performance enables the NPCI to continue investing in upgrading its technology, enhancing the security of its platforms, and launching new innovative payment solutions for the Indian market.
