NVIDIA clocks $44B in Q1 revenue fuelled by data-centre biz
Nvidia reports $44B Q1 revenue - Chipmaker Nvidia reported a robust revenue of $44.1 billion in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, exceeding analysts' expectations. This significant growth, a 69% increase from a year ago, was primarily fueled by surging demand in its data center business. Revenue from the data center segment, which includes its highly sought-after AI chips and networking products, soared by 73% year-on-year to $39.1 billion, accounting for over 88% of the company's total sales. Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, highlighted the incredibly strong global demand for AI infrastructure, driven by the tenfold surge in AI inference token generation in just one year.
