Delhi HC refers Ola Electric’s "Bharat Cell" TM dispute to mediation, promoting amicable IP resolution. The Delhi High Court has referred a trademark dispute between lithium-ion battery maker Kushmanda Power Limited (KPL) and Ola Electric regarding the use of the mark 'Bharat Cell' for electric vehicle battery cells to mediation. KPL, which uses the brand 'BHARATCELL' for its battery packs, sued Ola Electric for trademark infringement over its domestically developed 4680-format battery, named "Bharat Cell." Given that neither party has a registered trademark and the trademark rights are yet to crystallize, the court deemed mediation suitable for an amicable resolution.
