OpenAI, Oracle expand Stargate AI infra with 4.5 GW data centre partnership

OpenAI and Oracle have partnered to develop "4.5 gigawatts (GW) of additional 'Stargate' data center capacity" in the US, bringing OpenAI's total Stargate AI data center capacity under development to "over 5 GW." This "gigantic infrastructure project" aims to power over 2 million AI chips, accelerate reindustrialization, and create over 100,000 jobs across construction and operations.
