Hyderabad Consumer Court holds Vitality Health Services liable for medical negligence, awarding damages. The Hyderabad District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission-I has found Vitality Health Services in Secunderabad and three of its doctors guilty of medical negligence and deficiency in service. The court ordered them to pay ₹10 lakh as compensation to the family of a 38-year-old woman who died following a hysterectomy. The commission highlighted that the hospital conducted a major surgery without essential critical care facilities like a ventilator and an equipped ambulance, leading to the patient's deterioration and death, underscoring the importance of adequate medical infrastructure and professional care.
