Punjab National Bank (PNB) recorded its highest-ever quarterly standalone profit of ₹3,252 crores in Q1 FY25, driven by a reduction in bad loans and an increase in interest income. The bank's Net Interest Income (NII) grew by 10.23% to ₹10,476 crore. Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) decreased to 4.98%, while net NPAs fell to 0.60%. PNB's total income rose to ₹32,166 crore, and provisions for bad loans dropped significantly to ₹792 crore compared to the previous year's ₹4,374 crore.
