Pre-Budget Consultation Meetings for the Forthcoming Union Budget 2024-25 Conclude in New Delhi

The pre-budget consultations for the Union Budget 2024-25, chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, concluded on July 5, 2024. These consultations, which began on June 19, 2024, included over 120 participants from ten stakeholder groups such as trade unions, farmer associations, and sector experts. The discussions focused on suggestions for the upcoming budget. Union Ministers, Finance Ministry officials, and sector representatives participated, with Sitharaman assuring that the inputs would be considered for the budget preparation.
