Private banks should give more benefits to people under central schemes: ADC Bilaspur

Private sector banks should enhance benefits under government schemes, particularly pension schemes, stated Bilaspur's ADC, Nidhi Patel. \r

During a bankers' committee meeting, she highlighted the low account openings under social security pension schemes by private banks compared to government banks. Patel directed ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, and HDFC Bank to increase account openings under key schemes like Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana before the next quarterly meeting. \r

She also noted a slight increase in private banks' CD ratio and urged them to boost lending, especially in the agricultural sector, and organize awareness camps about central and state schemes.
