The Pune city police will appeal to the Supreme Court against a Bombay High Court order releasing a minor boy accused in a fatal Porsche car accident from an observation home. The High Court ordered his release on June 25, after he was detained for allegedly driving in an inebriated state, resulting in the deaths of two IT engineers. Despite police efforts to have him tried as an adult, the court ruled the custody order illegal. The police filed a final report on June 18, containing evidence against the boy, including statements and CCTV footage. Additionally, several individuals, including the minor’s parents, were arrested for allegedly tampering with evidence.
