Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and Meta have entered into a joint venture valued at approximately ₹855 crore (around $100 million) to develop and scale artificial intelligence (AI) solutions tailored for Indian enterprises. Under the agreement, Reliance will hold a 70% stake, while Meta will retain 30%. The collaboration aims to integrate Meta's open-source Llama models with Reliance's extensive digital infrastructure to offer enterprise-grade AI solutions. These solutions will include a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) model, enabling businesses to customize and deploy AI tools across various functions such as sales, marketing, IT, customer service, and finance. Additionally, the venture plans to provide pre-configured AI applications tailored for specific sectors, facilitating rapid deployment and adoption. The initiative also involves setting up AI-ready data centers in India, with Google joining the partnership to support this infrastructure development. This move underscores the growing emphasis on AI in India and positions the joint venture as a significant player in the enterprise AI landscape.
