SBI General Insurance Company has announced the withdrawal of its Arogya Plus policy effective from October 5, 2024, adhering to regulatory requirements mandating a 90-day advance intimation. \r
Policyholders of the Arogya Plus policy will have the option to migrate to alternative health insurance plans such as the Super Health Insurance or other individual health insurance products offered by the insurer, including the Standard Product. Arogya Plus, known for its flat premium structure regardless of age or family combination, provided extensive coverage without limits on room rent or age-related charges. \r
The decision reflects the company's commitment to refining product offerings to better cater to evolving customer needs. SBI General Insurance, established in 2009 with over 143 branches nationwide, reported significant year-on-year growth in Gross Direct Premium Income to Rs 12,553.57 crore in FY24, contributing to an increased market share of 4.33 percent.
