SEBI barred actor Arshad Warsi, his wife Maria Goretti, and 57 other individuals from accessing the securities market for up to five years in a stock market manipulation case. The regulator found them guilty of involvement in a "pump and dump" scheme involving Sadhna Broadcast shares, where misleading YouTube videos were used to artificially inflate the stock price. SEBI has also ordered the disgorgement of ₹58.01 crore in illegal gains with 12% annual interest.
