Sebi launches free investor-certification programme; free study material, no exam fee!

Sebi, in collaboration with NISM, has initiated a free investor certification program, as per a circular dated June 11. This voluntary certification aims to evaluate investors' market and investment knowledge, aiding their journey to grasp Indian securities markets comprehensively. \r

During the launch, SEBI's Ananth Narayan G, stated that this exam marks a significant stride in bolstering digital financial education in the market. The online exam targets to augment investors' grasp of investment processes and associated risks, promoting an efficient investment approach aligned with their risk appetite. \r

The certification covers basic finance concepts, government schemes, market structures, roles of key entities, risk comprehension, risk management techniques like hedging and diversification, and emphasizes due diligence, ethical conduct, and transparency in investment practices.
