SIDBI appoints Manoj Mittal as Chairman and MD

Manoj Mittal has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). Recommended by the Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB), Mittal, who previously served as Managing Director and CEO of IFCI Ltd., will succeed S. Ramann. Mittal’s selection followed interviews with 21 candidates, highlighting his extensive experience and prior role as Deputy Managing Director at SIDBI from 2016 to 2021, where he was instrumental in developing and implementing SIDBI Vision 2.0. His appointment awaits final approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi
