On July 17, both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed in observance of Muharram. This includes halting trading in derivatives, equities, SLBs, currency derivatives, and interest rate derivatives for the day. The commodity derivatives segment will operate only during the evening session from 5 pm to 11.55 pm. Trading will resume on July 18. Previously, on July 16, Indian markets closed higher with record highs driven by gains in IT, realty, and FMCG sectors. The Sensex closed at 80,716.55, up by 51.69 points, while the Nifty ended at 24,613, up by 26.30 points.
