Supreme Court Grants Anticipatory Bail To Man Booked Under SC/ST Act For Calling Complainant “Bastard”

The Supreme Court granted anticipatory bail in an SC/ST Act case, holding that the term used (“bastard”) did not, by itself, attract provisions of caste-based atrocity without proof of intent.
