Tax Evasion in Ayurvedic Spas: Kerala State GST Dept unearths Rs. 2 Cr Evasion in Munnar and Anachal
The Kerala State GST department uncovered tax evasion amounting to ₹2 crore by Ayurvedic spas in Idukki district, following inspections in Kumily, Munnar, and Anachal. Led by Rararaj, Deputy Commissioner (Intelligence) of Idukki, the department's intelligence and enforcement units from Ernakulam and Idukki participated in these operations. \r
Meanwhile, the Gujarat GST Authority for Advance Rulings recently denied Nimba Nature Cure Village tax exemption, ruling its services did not qualify as "health care services by a clinical establishment." \r
