Telangana RERA Directs Homebuyers To Approach Local Authority For Demolition Of Unauthorized Penthouse Constructed By Builder
The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority directed homebuyers of Krishna Mahalaxmi Nilayam to approach the local authority for the demolition of an unauthorized penthouse constructed by the builder. The homebuyers complained about the unauthorized construction, poor quality, and structural issues. The builder claimed the structure was a temporary shelter later converted into an office. The Authority ruled that under RERA, the builder must rectify all defects within 60 days and is liable for structural defects for five years from possession.
