UDIN Portal Introduces KAM and EOM Fields in SRS 4410 Reporting
The UDIN (Unique Document Identification Number) portal, which is managed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), has introduced new mandatory fields for reporting on Key Audit Matters (KAM) and Emphasis of Matter (EOM) paragraphs. This change is applicable for audit reports issued under the Standard on Related Services (SRS) 4410. The introduction of these specific fields is aimed at enhancing the quality and transparency of financial reporting. It will ensure that Chartered Accountants provide more detailed and structured information about the most significant areas of the audit and any other matters that are fundamental to the users' understanding of the financial statements. This move by the ICAI is part of its continuous efforts to strengthen the auditing and assurance standards in the country and to improve the overall quality of corporate reporting.
