Umar Khalid has approached the Delhi High Court seeking bail in the larger conspiracy case related to the 2020 Delhi riots, charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The division bench of Justices Prathiba M Singh and Amit Sharma will hear the plea on Monday. Khalid's earlier bail pleas were denied by the trial court and the High Court. He has been in custody since September 2020, along with other activists and students accused in the case.
