UP RERA Releases Model Format Of Offer Of Possession Letter To Protect Homebuyers Interest

UP-RERA issued a directive mandating promoters to use a standardized format for Offer of Possession letters, prohibiting additional conditions beyond the Agreement for Sale terms. Promoters must obtain OC/CC before sending letters, notify allottees via email, postal address, and SMS, and display possession information transparently. \r

Pending construction details must be clearly stated. Letters must be issued within two months of OC/CC receipt, accompanied by a copy. Disputes will be resolved under U.P. Real Estate Rules. Sanjay Bhoosreddy, Chairman of UP-RERA, aims to enhance transparency and prevent misuse of possession letters, fostering trust among allottees.
