UPI Transactions Jump 4.4% MoM In May, Touch All-Time High at 18.68 Bn

UPI transactions in May 2025 reached an all-time high of 18.68 billion, reflecting a 4.4% month-on-month increase. The total value of these transactions surged to Rs 25.14 lakh crore, marking a 23% year-on-year growth. This continued surge in UPI usage underscores its increasing adoption and integration into India's digital economy. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) data confirms the robust growth, with an average daily transaction count of 60.2 crore. This sustained momentum highlights the widespread acceptance and convenience of UPI, contributing significantly to financial inclusion and the digitization of payments across the country.
