West Bengal State Commission Holds Canon India Liable For Deficiency In Service,Directs To Replace Camera

The West Bengal State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission directed Canon India to replace a defective camera after the consumer's complaint of service deficiency. The consumer had reported that the camera, purchased from an authorized dealer, exhibited issues despite repeated repairs. The Commission found Canon India at fault for not adequately addressing the defect and failing to provide a satisfactory remedy. Canon India was ordered to replace the defective product and compensate the consumer for the inconvenience caused.
