What Action Taken Against Vloggers Promoted Illegally Modified Vehicles? Kerala High Court Asks Ministry Of Transport
The Kerala High Court has requested instructions from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways regarding actions against vloggers promoting modified vehicles violating safety standards. The Division Bench ordered the Deputy Solicitor General to obtain necessary instructions on preventing such practices, including recording videos inside driver cabins, disturbing driver concentration. \r
Previously, the Court directed Motor Vehicles Department officers to act against vloggers recording inside moving vehicles, collect videos of extensively modified vehicles, and ban modified vehicles in public spaces. \r
Despite court orders, vehicles continue to violate safety standards, with retroreflectors replaced by aftermarket lights, unauthorized vehicles with misleading name boards used in public, endangering safety. The next hearing is scheduled for June 13, 2024.
