Service overview

Udyam registration — the successor to Udyog Aadhaar — gives a business a permanent MSME identity number and certificate, opening access to priority-sector lending, government tenders, delayed-payment protection and MSME schemes.

Registration is free, paperless and based on self-declaration, with investment and turnover data drawn from PAN and GST records.

Who needs it? / When is it needed?

  • Proprietorships, partnerships, LLPs, companies and other enterprises in manufacturing or services
  • Businesses wanting MSME benefits — collateral-free credit, tender preferences, delayed-payment protection
  • Enterprises holding an old Udyog Aadhaar or EM-II that must move to Udyam
  • Registered enterprises whose investment or turnover has changed category
