Balu Forge Industries Ltd (BFIL) recently announced its acquisition of three forging production lines, augmenting its capacity for producing forged products by 72,000 tons. The acquisition includes a 16-ton closed die forging hammer, a 10-ton closed die forging hammer, and an 8,000T capacity mechanical press. BFIL disclosed that the setup will be fully automated, integrating the latest technology, and will be established at the company's greenfield project in Belagavi, Karnataka. Notably, the 16-ton closed-die forging hammer ranks among the largest in the country, capable of producing forgings up to 800-900 kgs. \r
The addition of the 10-ton closed-die forging hammer line and the 8,000T capacity mechanical forging press will further bolster BFIL's presence in critical engineering industries such as Oil and Gas, Aerospace, Defence, Railways, Mining, Aluminium, Auto part manufacturing, and others. Additionally, BFIL highlighted that the new forging unit will seamlessly integrate with the precision machining unit recently acquired from Mercedes Benz, enhancing its overall capabilities and market competitiveness.
