Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's leading IT services company, has introduced a responsible artificial intelligence (AI) framework and toolkit for customers and cloud partners to address growing security concerns and regulatory demands. This toolkit, available to cloud partners via marketplaces, ensures governance checks and data security at the design stage of AI-enabled applications. The launch follows TCS's Global AI study, which revealed that over 81% of senior business leaders seek global AI regulations. \r
Nidhi Srivastava, VP and global head of AI.Cloud at TCS, emphasized the need for frameworks that ensure AI models handle data securely and make fair decisions, reflecting both customer and regulatory expectations. TCS is collaborating with stakeholders to integrate these responsible AI offerings. The AI.Cloud unit, launched in July 2023 under CEO K Krithivasan, has already seen its deal pipeline double to $900 million, with over 200 AI engagements won this year. \r
The unit consolidated business units for Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and AWS, focusing on generative AI and cloud services. TCS has trained over 300,000 employees in AI, creating one of the largest AI-ready workforces. Investments include AI labs, Pace Port centers, and a new AI platform, TCS AI WisdomNext, to accelerate customers' generative AI journeys.
