ITAT Delhi Dismisses Appeal as Withdrawn in Abhik Finance Case

The Delhi “A” Bench of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal has dismissed the appeal filed by Abhik Finance Pvt. Ltd. for Assessment Year 2016–17 after permitting its withdrawal.

The appeal (ITA No. 3723/Del/2024) was listed for hearing on 2 February 2026 and arose from an order passed by the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) under Section 250 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. During the hearing, counsel for the assessee submitted that the appeal was a duplicate of another appeal already filed and, therefore, sought permission to withdraw it. A written request dated 2 February 2026 was placed on record in support of this submission.

The Departmental Representative raised no objection to the withdrawal. After considering the request and the material on record, the Tribunal allowed the withdrawal and dismissed the appeal accordingly. The order was pronounced in open court on the same day.
