The Directorate of Enforcement has filed a prosecution complaint before the Special PMLA Court at Mohali against Abhishek Kumar, Soul Healthcare (I) Pvt Ltd, Aster Pharma, and other associated persons in connection with an inter-state drug trafficking and money laundering network.
The investigation, triggered by FIRs of the Punjab Police under the NDPS Act, revealed large-scale illegal diversion of psychotropic tablets such as Tramadol and Alprazolam through manufacturers, distributors, and middlemen for cash sales without prescriptions or proper records. ED found that drug proceeds were layered through bank transfers while excess amounts were handled in cash.
Searches led to seizure of ₹4 lakh and incriminating records, with Abhishek Kumar already arrested and in judicial custody. The agency has provisionally attached movable and immovable assets worth ₹2.19 crore linked to key accused.
Further investigation is ongoing.
